The new 15,800 square meters Judicial Complex was conceived in response to the aging and limited facilities of the existing Barbados Supreme Law Courts. Located in close proximity to the existing law courts, three buildings consisting of law courts and registry were delivered.

The structural framing for the five storey buildings, consisted of reinforced concrete moment frames. The use of precast planks with an in-situ topping for the floor slabs enabled quick construction and reduced the need for falsework and formwork on site.

CEP was also responsible for the civil engineering works on the site which included the design of the pavement areas, the design of the storm water drainage system, and the external sewerage system.
